Because it’s a current subject, AI (Artificial Intelligence) is a source of many expectations, both for researchers and for the general public. Therefore, the cinematography industry has explored machines with human intelligence in several productions.
But it’s good to be careful around cinema stories. Some approaches of AI can be too fantasizing. According to the manager of the Artificial Intelligence team of Pecege, Luana Moro, we still aren’t fully closing in some of the predictions of the movies.
“In development terms, the exposition of robots with feelings and the transference of a human brain to a computer still is a utopia that only big companies with resources aim for”, she says.
Even though, robots still are the main characters in movie about AI. Luana states that this happens because machines process a larger amount of data than the human brain and do it more successfully.
